What permissions does PingStock need?+

Four scopes: read_inventory, read_orders, read_products, and write_inventory. We need read_orders for the days-of-cover forecast, and write_inventory for the post-restock acknowledgement marker. We don't touch customers, payouts, refunds, or order line items.

How fast are the alerts?+

PingStock subscribes to Shopify's inventory_levels/update webhook, so we know within seconds when a variant changes. Instant Slack pings fire on the threshold cross (with a 1-hour cooldown per SKU per rule so the channel never spams). Email digests roll up at the cadence you choose — daily, weekly, or monthly.

Where does my data live?+

PingStock stores inventory snapshots, rule definitions, and alert history in a managed MongoDB cluster. We keep alert history for 90 days, snapshots for as long as your account is active, and we never sell, share, or train models on your shop's data.

Do you support multi-location stores?+

Yes — on Basic and above. Set different thresholds per location, scope rules to specific locations, and roll everything up in the daily digest. The Free plan watches all locations together.

Can I send to Slack?+

Yes, two ways: paste an incoming webhook URL (works on every plan including Free), or connect via OAuth to install PingStock as a Slack app and pick channels from a list (Advanced and above). Per-recipient Slack tokens let you split alerts across multiple workspaces.

How much does PingStock cost?+

Free forever for up to 250 SKUs with scheduled digests. Basic $4.99/month adds instant alerts and multi-location. Is there a free trial on paid plans?+

Yes — 7 days on Basic, Advanced, and Pro. You won't be charged until day 8, and you can downgrade or cancel any time before that from your Shopify admin.

What's the cancellation story?+

Uninstall from your Shopify admin and your subscription ends — no email, no exit interview, no last-ditch discount popup. We delete your shop's rules and recipients within 30 days, per our privacy policy. Alert history is purged on the same window.
